i found the most beautifully diagrammed wikipedia article ever.

but first, a story:

my friends artie and thomson bought me this cellular automata video generator kit for my birthday (i've not yet assembled it, but i will). i've been trying to find a conceptually suitable enclosure, so i googled cellular automata to see what i would come up with.

lo and behold, wikipedia has an interesting enough article about it. after following some links (blah, blah, blah), i struck internet gold. wythoff symbols are great, but scroll down. those are some neat little pictures.

i think this one is my favorite currently.

Hey there guys. And the ladies.

I've just completed and uploaded an entry in mtvU's Modest Mouse green screen challenge. It's a pixilation (what else is there?), it's 3:50, and it stars young Reverend Harding as a Junior Science Philosophe whose uppance comes by the very design of his hubris. More post-production than I've done since I made this unholy monstrosity?

Maybe also awesome yes.
